Thanks Lori for the reply. Our county is weird I guess, because it depends on your zone (residential vs. agriculture) Exactly how much land there is and your proximity to other neighbors and so on. We've had several motions go up to the council and board, but they have all been shot down. Just seems like if they had livestock before that the property might be grandfathered in, but sometimes that only applies to the animals that were present before the law changed. It's a real pain.
