Back from wild, wonderful WV! What did I miss? How are the costumes coming? I'm cutting petticoat net right now for a super foofy petti for the Nightcap.
Wewll over here I'm about 75% done with my saturday costume (I just have alot of detail wokr left. Armor, not fun!) And Kellie and Temprest are moderatly about 40-50% done.an't wait to see what you poop out! <3
I'm thinking we be needing a journey to the center of the earth... And I lost my mind and started not 1 but 2 Harry Potter costumes whilst you were away. I need 5 yards of burgundy snakeskin. But for once I'm going to do a muslin so I know FOR SURE I need 5 yards, since I found the perfect stuff, but it's 11$ a yard. And I need a ratty puke mauve wig. Found the perfect one. In HONG KONG. Should I risk the 20$ for what could be a total bust? DUDE! Love the Tonks outfit you're making! (she was at FSC, btw) The super expensive sweaters are the best ones, IMO...the cheaper ones are verrrrry thin I've heard, so I think your $$ was well spent! Plus it's more functional! The robe looks rad too...you didn't use the Jedi pattern?
I take it you found the wig on ebay? What's the seller's name? My friends buy wigs from China all the time so it might be a seller they know is reputable. I do know that a lot of the Chinese wigs tend to be a bit thin, FYI.

Hellboy is out, annnnnd, there was another one that I wanted to go to last weekend, but didn't because I wanted to be sneakified... Hellboy sounds dumb, but it looks like Pan's Labrynth, which was AWESOME.... I saw that Tonks was at FSC, I'll show you the wig later... I didn't want to buy ANOTHER jedi pattern cuz they weren't on sale (I have 2 at my house), for some reason I cared about the seam attaching the hood. Because in the movie robes there's no seam, the facing and the hood are all one piece... note to self, not easy to get that to work and lay flat. I chopped 2 inches off the front edges of the robe, but not the lining - so I need to make some tucks or something on the inside of the lining to make it fit - I didn't want my facing to narrow, so wouldn't cut it - enter the FUDGING process. I also redyed my facing and sleeves, so they're darker. Fingers crossed that it matches the tie.... I ordered the cardigan - I figured a grey cardigan that's really nice, I'll wear all the time

YEAH my wizard tie has already shipped! And they took my money at the sweater knittery, so maybe I won't have to wait that long for my sweater???? WOOHOO!!!! I have an ear ache.
