Well, cats... like most animals, have a little blood vessel running through the middle of their claws, so.. if he's broken a nail, it might be what it is?

It looks like he's broken it while attacking my keys that are hanging from the door. Stupid animal. He's giving himself a wash now and I think it's stopped bleeding... Hopefully... Stupid.
