Tired. Unwell. I need a break.

I went to see the doctor on Monday and he said my stomach may already be inflamed. Vomiting and having such a sensitive stomach for a long period of time is not a good sign (or so the doctor said). He mentioned it could either be inflamed or I may be developing stomach ulcers due to my gastric problem. So he advised me to go for a scope soon. I'll ( Read more... )

And I thought I was busy! notwaleniale April 18 2007, 20:23:55 UTC
My goodness Steph, just reading this makes me tired! I don't know what to say but I would definitely get your tummy checked out soon. It must be very distressing to have such discomfort all the time. The gastric flu has been going around over here the last few weeks and I had it for 3 days and it was horrible to constantly throw up and have cramps. Maybe go for that scope sooner rather than later?

Don't forget that it's ok to be so busy but finding balance is the key. Maybe you should make a deal with yourself to take some time off every 8 weeks or so. It will be much better than completely burning out for a whole week or two where you can't do anything. It's just the mother hen in me from experience...that's all. Hope you get better soon Cuz.

Thanks for the advice Cuz Elaine....
In fact, I woke up with killer migraine and I have to get ready to see my Client soon. You're right, maybe I should take a break every 8 weeks or so. I am feeling soooo, sooo......drained this week.

I bet you must be very busy too - managing a home and taking care of 2 kids. But I truly think you're a Super-Mom! Happy belated Birthday Cuz, Mum says you love your new diamond earrings.
Hope you've recovered well from your gastric flu.

Have a good Thursday!

Trying to cope petitepam April 20 2007, 13:06:44 UTC
I know you try your best to cope, Marie but at times it can be quite overwhelming when you have too many things to think about and do. And of course your ongoing stomach problem does not help. You have been on medication for such a long time and even though you are more careful with your diet now, there does not seem to be a vast improvement. I agree with Elaine that you should go for a scope sooner rather than later. Look who's talking....hehehe! I know Marie. I should go and have my knee checked by a specialist too.
Anyway, I think it is a good idea to try not to do too many things in a day. Whatever can be postponed or put on hold, would better for you.
That is one of the best ways to keep stress at bay. And you also need to do more relaxing things. I know it is not easy too when you have to do the laundry, keep the house clean and look after the dog
So maybe a nice evening swim would do you a world of good, if you can fit it twice or three times a week.
Please look after yourself.
Love & hugs
Mum xx
