Today hasn't exactly gone to plan. I was going to have the embroidery machine running on and off for most of the day while I was sewing. Instead, my dad was moving a plug socket in my room so I was helping to move the wardrobe out the way, then the electricity was switched off for a while. Personally, I always find it a little "weird" when fiction is written in the present tense. That's not to say it doesn't work, but it is a harder medium (i find) to write in. It does give a very "in the moment" feel, which can be really good.
Now I'm re-reading it, it actually sounds like your writing more of a screenplay. With the stage directions, if that makes sense? Like
(He picks up a magazine and walks over to Sarah) What was that your said? (Lionel begins to rolled the magazine up, before slapping it into his hand)
Whereas in prose it would, conventially, be written in past tense: "He picked up a magazine and walked over to Sarah" What was that you said?" Lionel rolled up the magazine and slapped it into his hand..."
Am i making sense? It's been ages since I've done english too, let alone creative writing english. xD

The stories I'm doing to introduce the new resin don't have photos though. I don't have the space or most of the furniture to do them.
