(sorry I'm just now writing this hon!)

Sherlock, Sherlock/John, sleep/bed themes

It was a mutual decision without words needed. The first night Sherlock was back, alive, John tried to sleep alone, in what had been his room before he'd moved into Sherlock's bed. But it felt far too much like before, before Baker Street, before hope, and while he was trying to punish Sherlock for his lies, he was really punishing himself.

When he opened the door to the hall, there was Sherlock, hand raised to knock, and for the first time since Sherlock had faked his death, John laughed. And he didn't stop, not when he took Sherlock's hand, not when he pulled him onto the couch, not when his arms were around Sherlock's thin frame and Sherlock's body finally, finally, relaxed, draping himself over John.

"We are both such idiots," John gasped out, and Sherlock chuckled back. And for the first time since that phone call, that building, that fall, John slept the whole night through.

OH MY GOSH. Thank you so much for writing this!! I haven't written any yet because my end of the semester work piled up on me, but I have your list saved. ;)

I love that this happens to naturally between them, that it's a decision they both made without having to talk about it. Sherlock relaxing against John is just...siiiiiiiigh. <333
