Yeah, he didn't hit anyone, and it's still not clear if he was deliberately firing at something he saw in the dark 'cause he was nervous, or if he just slipped and fired off a few. What a country.

I am a fairly new reader. We have FSMism in common. Forgive my ignorance, but what is "ANA"?

The ANA is the Afghan National Army, the official armed forces of Afghanistan. Along with the ANP (Afghan National Police) and ABP (Afghan Border Police,) they work with us here to fight the Taliban and occasionally fire randomly into the darkness.

Also: I just looked at your interest section...you like It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia?! That show is absolutely brilliant. My wife sent me some discs of it a few months back and I'm hooked.

look, just because i can eat a frito pie and a large cheese pizza by myself does not mean i'm fat...it just means i have a healthy appetite. and for the record, i've seen your wife eat the exact same meal AND down a large shake from mcdonalds.

Haha, the only way Lizz could manage to eat that much food is if I had ordered it for myself and she had ordered nothing, claiming she wasn't that hungry. Then, yes, I could see that. Besides, I wasn't implying you're a fatty, I was just saying you're twice the man Lizz is.

Forget Boddington's, come down to the islands and try some Cane Spirits Rothchild. It is a sugarcane alcohol that doesn't quite fit into the vodka or rum category. It's good for two things: briefly tasting like molasses, and then making you strangely wake up on a random beach with twigs in your hair and sand in your mouf.

Lizz and I are thinking about a celebratory out-of-the-Army cruise once I'm...you know, out of the Army. I will remember this Cane Spirits Rothchild you speak of. If it's anything like the demon Rum, Lizz will never forgive you for mentioning it to me.
