start a note book of your moods.
write down foods, drink, your menstrual cycle, sleep, stress, all of it.
look for patterns, but don't stop tracking when you see the first pattern. Humans are complicated bags of chemicals.

Do you have a primary md or nurse? Start there with a phone call. Get them to track all of your trying to fix this. Start by ruling out all the physical possiblilities.
They might want you to get blood work.
then go to the gyn. (share the tests/bloodwork between mds. Give them permission to talk to one another and make them do it. this way you don't get the same blood work twice and get it denied by ins. or worse have to pay for the same shit twice).
Other options:
Endocrinology- they look at all of the hormones in depth, not just the girl specific ones.

After all the physical looking- try the brain chemicals.

Thanks for all the great advice...Unfortunately, I have no insurance and I am in the process of getting a new GYN...Also, I am so stressed right now that I've let my food journal go which I had been keeping for the past couple of months...I'll let you know how the GYN appointment goes...Smooches right back at ya, babe!
