New judges! New format! And so far it's working really well. STy and JLo seem to really be paying attention and giving criticism when they need to. They haven't really found their meanness yet, but Randy is starting to pick up the slack. And STy's cussing problem is endless minutes of laughter.

The accompaniment on Tim's song was terrible! I actually liked the performance (though flawed), but I think he's capable of better. I really really REALLY hope he stays!

Casey killed it and Paul was so charming. They're definite locks for the Top 12. I re-watched James's performance and found that I really disliked his fake attitude. Durbin for the shock boot!

Tim definitely suffered from bad accompaniment syndrome. So did the first four really. It's like the band was as asleep as I was at the start.

Oh I'd be so freaking happy if it was Durbin for the shock boot. But with the tongue bathing he got from the judges combined with the fact that the vocal wasn't terrible, and I think he's more of a lock than we hope.
