The classroom was empty except for a boy at the corner of the room.
Sunlight streamed into the classroom and shone onto his face.
His hair seems to shine in the sun.
He took a deep breathe.
Reaching out his hand, he slid open the classroom door.
He took a step into the class and walked towards the corner of the room.
The boy was deep in thoughts, scratching his head occasionally as he scribbled down on his foolscap.
He cleared his throat.
"Anooo…..keito?"
The boy jumped from his seat and looked up, staring straight into Yuto's face.
Yuto took a step back.
"I was just thinking if you know, you wanna jam together tomorrow after school or something…"
Yuto scratched his head and let out a deep sigh.
"Sure! Why not!"
Keito replied with a smile.
"YAATAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
Yuto leaped into the air, ran round the classroom once and stopped back infront of Keito.
Keito stood up, chuckled at Yuto.
It wasn't as though they never spoke before though.
Although they were from different classes, Keito and Yuto were in the same CCA.
They didn't communicate much though, just met each other during club meetings, said hi and bye to each other. Occasionally walking to the bus stop together when Yuto stayed back alone without Chinen or Yamada.
"Yama-chan! I'm going to jam with ahem Keito tomorrow SOO…you'll be alone with Chii. Have fun~"
Yuto had text Yamada that night before going to bed.
He was excited, not just he got to spend time with Keito but also eager to see what develops between Yamada and Chinen.
The next day after school, Yuto went off to jam with keito while Yamada stayed at the class bench to study his korean.
"Chu--ah--hey--yo"
He stared intently at his practise book, repeating that over and over again.
"Chuahheyyo???! Neh Yama-chan what does that mean!"
Yamda jumped when he heard Chinen's voice.
"ah, nothing nothing" Yamada replied.
"Tell meeeee please"
Chinen gave a puppy eye and tugged on his sleeve.
Yamada looked away and closed his korean book, blushing in the process.
"Come on, let's go and look for Yuto, he should be done with his jamming already"
Yamada looked at his watch. It was already 5PM and Yuto had asked Yamada and Chinen to wait for him to go home together.
"Speaking of the devil Yama-chan, look! there's Yuto and…."
Chinen squint, "Keitoo???"
Chinen scratched his head, puzzled.
What's Yuto doing with Keito???
"Come on", Yamada tugged Chinen, who was still stoning on the bench, puzzled over Yuto and Keito.
"Chii! Yama-chan, this is Keito!"
Yuto spoke to the both of them with a huge grin on his face, putting his arm around Keito's shoulder.
"Hello!"
Keito replied with a deep english accent and a smile.
"Hello!"
Yamada and Chinen replied in unisons.
Yuto grinned wider and laughed at the both of them.
"I've learnt a new word today, a new korean word"
Yamada exclaimed, trying to start a topic.
"ka-jah!, it means lets go!"
Yamada gleamed, proud that the other 3 looked amazed at his newly learnt vocabulary.
It turned out that Keito had just shifted and takes the same bus as the three of them.
Chinen and Yamada as usual sat at the front of Yuto and Keito.
"Yama-chan! what was that word you said just now! Please you still haven't told me"
Chinen tugged on Yamada's sleeves one more and gave his best puppy eye.
"eto…..nothing, really. i was just flipping through that's all"
Yamada looked away blushing again.
"Pleaaseeeeeeeeeeee~"
Chinen pleaded once more, now tugging on yamada's arm and putting his head on Yamada's shoulder.
Yuto giggled at the back of the both of them.
Keito started giggling as well.
"erhhh, its just…"
Yamada turned to look at Chinen.
"chu-ah-hey-yo.there, i've said it"
Yamada sighed. He did it, indirectly.
"EH! what does it mean Yama-chan. You know i don't understand…"
Chinen pouts.
Yuto giggled harder and Keito started laughing like mad.
Both of them were enjoying the budding couple in front of them.
Distracted, Yuto didn't realize that Keito was laughing so hard that his palm was smacking against his.
But, he did realise that Keito laughed so hard till his was leaning on his shoulder. Yuto blushed.
He couldn't help but realize Keito's laughter sounded so unique.
"yama-chaaaaaan. what does it meannnnn"
Chinen continued pleading, oblivious to the laughter behind them.
"AH! the two of you stop laughing already. What's so funny!?"
Yamada turned around and stared at Yuto.
Yuto winked at him and between laughters said
"i---HAHAHA-know-what-that means Yama-chan~"
Keito said in a sing-song voice.
"me too~"
Both of them looked at each other and gave each other a high-five.
Yamada blushed.
Chinen pouts.
Their journey home continued, filled with the laughter of Keito and Yuto.
