SELinux Makefile: Why I Don't Like It (amongst other things)

The SELinux Makefile, included with all developer's packages, is what you're supposed to use to compile an SELinux module you write. The first reason I don't like it is this: it's not the compiler. checkmodule is the compiler, but that can't be used straight on a module because of macros and stuff that the Makefile is suppsoed to take care of ( ( Read more... )

Isn't that the same directory, where is a stand-in for your type of SELinx, which is devel? Mur?

Nope! Or rather, it would be if devel were a policy type. As it is, policy types are strict or targeted, I believe. I have targeted, so the derived directory is /usr/share/selinux/targeted/include.
