That was lovely. Short on the Snape/Hermione interaction (plot getting in the way!), but the tension in that scene more than made up for it.

I'm really glad you brought up Snape's coming from a lower background than most other DE-too many writers seem to forget he's not an aristocrat like Malfoy (and if I read one more story set in Snape Manor, I might scream!).

Nice job on conveying the claustrophobia of Grimmauld Place, and the helplessness of waiting.

Looking forward to the next part!

Oh wow. I am so so happy that you've finally posted this.

Snape's mouth curved into a wry semblance of a smile, and she thought that he would very much like it if she possessed a fatal flaw.

Love this! I also like the nicely nuanced relationship between Snape and McGonagall.

This time I promise that the next chapters will be forthcoming much sooner
