i like how Carlton was faked out about Shawn's death! this is great. i can't wait for more! btw, you have a few spelling errors, but they didn't detract from the story. I'm just pointing them out, FYI. lol

This has a nice mix of humor mixed with angst, I liked it.

Since you asked for constructive criticism; this jumped out at me.

"the blood stains are conducive to someone with facial injuries"

Conducive doesn't really work there. Maybe "the blood stains are consistent with someone suffering facial injuries"?
