So clearly it takes more than 3 to 4 hours to die of Carbon Monoxide poisoning. Other wise I wouldn't still be here. Now, just wait one second before you go calling Life Line. I didn't do this to myself willingly - although in hind sight, (and a 25 min walk home in fresh air) I could have shown a bit more interest in self preservation

Not allowed?! That really wouldn't stop me. You're being too servile.

When my workplace was trying to poison me I frequently left - admittedly sometimes not quite in time before they called an ambulance. Eventually, when they'd shown they were simply flouting the health and safety laws, I left completely. I wasn't the only person they made ill. I was merely the worst / most delicate.

LOL... It is the problem of being in a different culture. let alone a different country. People do what the boss says, even if they don't like it. The problem is that if I try and fight it, it is just going to make MY life miserable here. If they do have the fumes again though, I will be asking them to make a plan... lol.

Yeah, definitely ask them if there's another, better ventilated place you can have office hours. Didn't you say you didn't have to teach any classes until after Christmas? Surely they don't care where you are in the school as long as they know you haven't just skipped out on your contract.

Lol... I will definitely ask them if they have the fumes again. I sat and watched them use something that looked like an oversized angle-grinder to cut a new doorway in the wall!

I suppose they can't really argue so long as I am still in the building. (I mean they don't winge when I sit and play the piano for 3 hours - although the music room, like my office, is directly aboce the kitchen).
