Nothing But Toes

Today, I was perusing Craig's List looking at available pets. I have been toying with the idea of getting a dog for the longest time...but even though it's a dog I'm after, I often find myself looking at the cats

Aww, I love the cats with the extra toes! We're thinking of getting a buddy for Joe at some point, once we're settled from the move. Maybe the buddy will have extra toes, too!

You know, I'm a sucker for kitty paws, anyway. My cat Lucy (the one who recently passed) actually would humor me and let me touch her paws once in awhile.

Schmutzy actually "holds" hands with me. It's something he started doing as a kitten, and still does. He reaches out for me with his paw, and if I grab it and hold it in my hand, he'll let me.

Purrscilla won't let me touch her feet at all, but I LOVE her little toes...they're so tiny.

Anyway, since I already have a kitty foot fetish, I can just imagine what it would be like to have a polydactyl kitty! I'd be in kitty toe fetish heaven!

Hemingway cats!

Yeah, I know...they are only Hemingway cats if they live in Key West. But still...love them!

The one I wanted was black...and he had multiple toes on each foot. (I know some only have in the front or in the back.) Then I read that there is a myth that polydactyls are witches familiars. Then of course I HAD to have one.

No call back, though, so I guess he's been taken. Waaaaaaaaaaaaah.

You could...except since the guy did not call me back, I'm assuming I won't be a polydactyl kitty pet owner.
