So I read some words on the Internet that more or less sum up how I feel about the current political climate.

Obama is a bad president for about a hundred reasons. Few of those reasons will ever been scrawled on a sign and carried around a tea party rally: he is not a socialist, he is not a liberal, he is not a communist, because any of those

I still get pissed off when people talk about how awesome it is that he is black, more then anything else.

If we REALLY want to prove how much we dont care about race in anything, lets stop bringing it up as a point.

It is awesome that a black person got elected-not because of his race, but in spite of it. Try and say otherwise and I'll refer you to the not-so-distant past where we were still segregating bathrooms and water faucets based on how much melanin your skin contained. Race isn't as big an issue now as it was back then-as if or current president hasn't made that obvious enough-but it is still an issue in parts of America, enough to where it is a big deal that Obama was elected.
