I feel a little less like I've been drop kicked by life now. A four hour nap is good that way. Chris was also wonderfully supportive, and even let me not speak for most of the day, which helps ( Read more... )

I can't use those leg-lift machines, precisely because of my knee injury. I've got so much spare cartilage floating around, and my ACL is so floppy and loose, I just can't extend it...a BIG part of that problem is that I'm double jointed, so when I extend my knee all the way, it goes slightly further than it's supposed to, and even further than the nasty broken stuff wants it to go.

This also means that I have to take it really easy going down stairs, and using a bicycle with the seat too high/far from the pedals. Gaaaaaaah!

Glad to see you're recovering so well!

Oh yuck, I'm sorry. I see to be free of floaty bits of cartilage, or so the MRI shows. I live in fear of them sticking a scope in my knee to be sure.

Can you not get them to take the bits out?

I feel you on the stairs. Going down stairs, I always feel off balance, and like I'm going to tumble down.

sorry you're having a down time right now - things will get better, just think about how far you've come already!! (I know, it seems like its taken forever...but it hasn't been that long!) I'm really looking forward to finishing my last day of comps (tomorrow) so I can rejoin the living and spend some time with you - I miss chatting, and when we do, I remember very little, my brain is on overload - so...lets have a "tea date" and maybe some chocolate will need to be involved...and lots and lots of chatting.
