John Ringo: Right-Wing Nutjob

I've just finished today reading "Yellow Eyes", one of the "Legacy of the Aldenata" books by John Ringo. I've been a fan of these for a while, but I will now not be reading any more of his work, partially due to some of the main content of this book, but especially the "authorial afterword" which was several steps too far in my opinion

Yep, no surprises here. Being taken aback by John Ringo being more than a little right-wing is probably up there with stuff like "Peter Tatchell is gay?? No, really?". He's um...well, let's just say he's no centrist. I doubt we can entirely blame Kratman for this one.

Incidentally, the linked article is fucking hilarious and ridiculously fair. Even John Ringo seemed to think so!

Previously he appears to have shut up about his views (in the sense of earlier novels weren't exactly a homage to being fluffy and pacifistic, but at least the nuttier crap was heavily buried), and this is the first time there's been anything this blatant or any sort of actual editorial piece tacked on, hence my theory about a new co-writer being a push. Not *much* of a push, but at least the straw that breaks the camel's back.
