Valentine absolutely agreed on that point. Which was why he was going to nuzzle up closer to her and sigh softly and hold her as close as he possibly could without crushing her into wee crushy-bits.
"I'm so very glad you came back," he mumbled, for what must have been the thousandth time since her return.
"Told you I would," she murmured. For the thousandth as well. The repetition was fine with her, she could curl in and snuggle for another thousand if he'd like. It was very nice here and there seemed to be no angels at all. Just Alea. Very much not the same thing.
"I only helped a little," she protested quickly. "There were runners, letting the statues chase them along. I can't imagine how terrifying that must have been. All I needed to do was get one of them out of there."
