Naminé looked at the brochure again, closed her eyes, and focused. It was a little harder going to places you didn't know. Fandom. Alexandria. Virginia. An island, with a school

There was a pretty and somewhat frightened girl in distress. And Mikey wasn't sure he really knew why (was this dude's hair really that bad?), but he was pretty sure that a guy with ninja training was supposed to something to make pretty damsels feel a little less distressed. "Uh, are you okay?" He looked between the girl and the guy who had just appeared, and kind of half-shimmied so that he was standing between them. "Need help or something?"
Demyx's eyes widened, and he leapt backward, flailing more. "...Naminé!?" Oh...that couldn't mean that...no way! "You're here?" He looked around frantically, expecting to see Marluxia or Larxene.
The giant mutant turtle didn't even register. He was mostly immune to Fandom weirdness, but not to the more frightening (to him) members of the Organization.
That was not the 'hey how are ya' of a girl who was happy to see somebody. Michelangelo found himself getting even a little angry at this guy-- whoever he was-- who had the poor girl so frightened. "Man, you heard what the lady said. She's so not gonna go anywhere with you." He wanted his nunchucks back already.
"Quiet, figment of someone's imagination," Demyx told the turtle indignantly. Without missing a beat, he turned his attention back to Naminé. "Go back? Go BACK??" Demyx blinked, totally lost. "...Didn't Marluxia or that bitch come with you...?" He looked around warily. "Besides, I can't go back. I've tried. I think it's a side effect of being technically dead."
"Marluxia?" Naminé stared, trying to take everything in. "No, that's impossible. Sora ... took care of him, didn't he?"
If Marluxia was here, it was hopeless ... no, she wasn't going to give up. She looked nervously at the turtle. "Please. Don't let them take me. I can't hurt him again."
Mikey was pretty sure that being mistaken for some wacky dude's hallucination was better than people screaming because there was a giant turtle. Pretty sure. Either way, this situation was still so not cool. He nodded over his shoulder to the girl behind him, then looked back at the guy with the psycho hairdo. "She doesn't want to go with you. And I'm so totally not gonna let you take her, man. This turtle is no figment of anything, thanks much."
"I'm not taking anyone anywhere!" Demyx shouted, flailing harder. "I've been here for a year now! If I was leaving, I'd've left a long time ago!" Really! What was with these people? Last he'd seen Naminé, even if it had been brief, he'd gotten the impression that she was smarter than this.
Naminé blinked at him for a few moments. "A year? You mean - you're not here for me?"
"You ... left the Organization? You won't tell them I'm here?" She looked at the turtle and then back at Demyx again, flushing. "We're not dead. Don't say things like that."
"You're the first person I've seen from home the entire time," Demyx told her honestly. "And I'm not just saying it. I mean I'm dead. The Superior made me fight Sora, and I lost. Of course. Because everybody knows I can't fight worth a damn."
Mikey's head was starting to hurt. He squinted a little and looked between the hair-dude and the portal girl a few times. "So, uh, nobody's gonna be making anyone do anything they don't wanna do? It's cool...?" He really hoped it was cool.
"I dunno. 'Cause I sorta saw other people a little while ago, in limbo...it was as far as I could get." He shrugged uncomfortably. "Guess there's not really an Organization anymore. But if anybody else shows up, depending on who they are, I wish I could see them." Demyx toed the ground with one of his sneakers. "I won't tell them about you, though, if you don't want me to. I just...really kinda miss people. Like Axel." Don't mind the kicked puppy look. Really.
"They're looking for me. They'd use me against him again, like they did before. I ... I won't." Naminé looked at him curiously. "Is that ... are you why he sent me here? Axel didn't say you'd be here."
"Axel doesn't know I'm here," Demyx said sadly. "I haven't seen him since...since, well, the last time I saw him. I didn't really have a chance to say goodbye, you know?" He tugged at the sleeve of his shirt, then looked up and smiled slightly. "It is good to see you though, Naminé. You have no idea."
"I'm sorry you didn't get to tell him. I imagine he knows." She smiled a bit sadly. "Then ... then I'm glad. You always seemed ... different than some of them. You were nice, I mean." Naminé looked down, remembering some of the less pleasant others.
"Uh, are you okay?" He looked between the girl and the guy who had just appeared, and kind of half-shimmied so that he was standing between them. "Need help or something?"

She turned to the turtle, still not sure why he had jumped so readily to her aid, or how to thank him for that. "I think it might be. I hope so."
"Demyx. If you see them again, you won't ... tell them where I am, will you?" Her eyes pleaded.
