I have this problem with making others' dilemmas my own. Apparently my family has a problem with being completely forthright & honest with each other. So now I am questioning my own relationship with my significant other, wondering if it's bad or dishonest & what if I'm the clueless one who has no idea?... I'm trying to guess the future for my ( Read more... )

Those thoughts prove you're a great mother. Doubt is a part of success, and it never leaves. It's just something you work through. Just remember to take it as it comes. Baby steps. =) As far as the relationship, idle thinking and conjecture usually leads to making a mountain out of a mole hill. If you are worried, ask Twan about it. You two have a kid together. Trust should be a given, right? But I don't much since I usually stay out of the loop. Either way, if you ever need me to talk/do anything and I'm actually in town, don't hesistate to ask. I think you have my number. If you don't, all you have to do is ask. =)

I appreciate it, Shay. It's really not Twan, it's just me. I've always had this problem of doubting myself, but I'm trying to learn to kick it in the ass (the doubt, not myself)

HAHA I think we all agree about Andy's chin fuzz, but he looks really happy in the pic, and that's why i posted it... I almost get the feeling he might be just a little excited about his daughter coming!
p.s. i can't wait to see you!

Janie, everytime someone in our family has a fight or misunderstanding, you start questioning your own relationship. Open your eyes, your relationship is nothing like anyone's in this family! You communicate openly, you don't have little spats over everything, you don't explode at each other, and you don't ever yell at one another. I know you have disagreements, but every relationship has that, it's just how you handle it that determines how good or bad your relationship is. It annoys me whenever you get all weird about you and Twan because of someone else. You two are golden.

Love the third picture of Ant devouring his hand.

I can't believe you got a good picture of Andy and Marsi together. And I agree with Lauren, tell Andy to shave that thing off his chin.

I want you to listen to this KT Tunstall cd, unless you already know you don't like her.

Yea, i wish it was all just a misunderstanding. Anyway, I realize sometimes that it's mostly me and not really Antoine. the thing i'm afraid of is that I'm Dad and he's Mom, if u catch my drift. but that's only sometimes, and those times i try to just go away. Anyway, i need to stop complaining because i am so happy when it comes to Anthony, even if my life just got 2x more complicated. Anyway, I appreciate your observation.

I wouldn't mind giving her a listen, doesn't she sing that "No" song?

I burnt you a copy - it's sitting on the hutch behind the key tray. There's two of them - one's in the original case, so just take the whole thing. The "No" song is called Black Horse and a Cherry Tree.

Gah I know the whole thing with mom and dad is upsetting. I really wish I had a place to stay for a couple weeks after they have The Talk. I have a feeling there will be not-so-good vibes for a while.

Oh yeah and

Of COURSE Anthony recognizes you. You can't see it, but I can. He looks around everytime you talk, you can always make him stop crying, he talks to you more than he talks to anybody. And he's recognized you since he was a couple of days old.

I try to imagine myself in your shoes and I see that I would also be very insecure, but if you put in the time now, you'll have time later... What I mean is, if you do your college now, then you'll have time with Anthony as he gets older, instead of you being stuck in night school when he's 5, 6, 7 and so on, missing his school plays and stuff like that. I have so much respect for you because you're doing school AND taking care of Anthony. It looks like hard work.
