Thanks! I'm glad you loved this. May 2nd has so many negatives and painful memories associated with it for Dean, it's about time he has something happy to take to reclaim the date. It was originally happy, now he can have some happiness back. :)

Thank goodness my boss was out for lunch as I started crying over my keyboard!

This was so wonderfully happy--how unique for a SPN story!
Even though I cried for Dean missing Sam, seeing that he has made peace with his situation was totally fantastic.

I love that you call this a happy SPN story, because I really think that it is too. But it's also angsty, and rereading what I wrote makes me sniffle too... but it's so hopeful or at least that's what I tried to capture. Dean's life is never going to be 100% happy and fun and games, but I really think that 5.22 opened a door for him to make peace with himself and his existence much the way Sam figured out how to do, only Dean's reward, really *is* a reward--he gets to have the life he never allowed himself to dream of having. So it really is happy, even though there's a sorrow to it.
