See, I used to think I could argue my way out of anything. And when I had reasons to disagree with something like this, I would use them...I would do everything in my power to sway you, make you an optimist. But in this past little while I've realized that I can't change people...especially if I can't change myself. If I'm going to preach to others, I need to start setting an example. But since I can't do that, I can't offer help to other people, either. Things just don't work like that. You've learned so much from life, Mike...so much that nobody was ever meant to learn. As my last word of advice before I take a vow of advice-silence, I wanted to tell you...fuck everyone and everything that stands in your way. You've got places to go, Mike; I don't know where right now, any more than you do, but don't let the jerkoffs in your life take over who you're becoming. Find those people that really do care about you, and stick with them...they'll help you find your place. Do whatever you have to do to get what you want, if anyone ( ... )
