Totally off topic, but I just wanted to say how FUCKING AWESOME you are for liking Michael Crichton and Jurassic Park. Michael's my writing idol and Jurassic Park is my fave book of ALL TIME. <3

lol! Yeah, I love his older books. I really like a good, teeth-grinding scientific thriller with lots of deducing and tension and whatnot! And OH the human error! Andromeda Strain is my other personal favorite.
