Instead, he had managed to teleport himself to one of the gates. Well, damn. That wasn't exactly where he'd meant to show up...
Ah, whatever. He was out of the meeting room, and that was all that mattered to him right now.
Xigbar, not entirley liking the weather at the moment, pulled his hood up. Ugh.
"This fuckin' blows."

"Hyuuu!" he trilled, his cheerful attitude rivaling that of a highschool girl's. "Does everybody here just pop out of thin air like you do, Eyepatch?"
Nevermind that the guy didn't look like the most social person in the world. It had never stopped Fai before.

Strike two: pseudo-whistling. See above.
Strike three: calling him "Eyepatch".
"...Are you looking for a fight?" Xigbar asked, narrowing his one good eye. "'cause where I'm from, it's pretty rude to draw attention to things like this," 'this' being his eyepatch.
"Why the hell are you so perky, anyway?"

That wasn't such a bad idea.
He didn't even miss a beat; right after Xigbar was done talking, Fai countered with a completely different question of his own. It was as if he hadn't even considered the possibilities at all, when in fact he had.
"Then Patch-tan isn't from this world," he said, acting as though he was just talking to himself, but his voice was intentionally loud enough for the newly dubbed 'Patch-tan' to hear. "Where do you come from, then?"

"You're an idiot, and I've had a bad day. You sure you wanna be pissing me off, pissant?" Oh, yes. Xigbar was all of seconds away from summoning his favorite weapons and letting this asshat know what he thought.

For all his cheerfulness, though, the mage wasn't stupid. He wasn't looking for a fight, and he wasn't willing to push this guy to see how long it took him to try and start one. He was even worse than Kuro-rin, if that was possible.
"Well, let's see," he began, deciding to answer the questions even if he did think they were a bit pointless. "One, I'm not looking for a fight. And two, I don't see any reason not to be cheerful. I am a bit lost, though..." Fai put on a fake pout for Patch-tan, knowing full well it would only annoy him more, but now that he had answered his questions he figured he was less likely to want to wring his neck.
"But now it's your turn, isn't it? You're not from this world."
