Guy sighed as he trudged forward through the snow. He'd taken a jacket along with him, so the cold wasn't so much of a problem, moreso why Jade was sending him out to one of the gates in the first place. The vague 'retrieving a special package' explanation he'd been given didn't help to clear it up any, but the threat of having Anise on his bad side was more than enough to light a fire under him.
It did feel like a bit of a wild goose chase though, as he approached the gate. He half-wondered if it was Anise herself that would show up... but then, she would have been more than capable of defending herself if that was the case. "I guess I'll just have to figure it out..."
The man at the gate really wasn't much help when asking about things not directly related to this city, it seemed, and there was no-one else out in the snow that Florian could see. But that man--what was his name again?--had told him to wait there, and so wait he did, passing the time by making snowballs. Admittedly it was getting to be rather difficult to do barehanded in this cold, but...it was amusing, at least.
If a certain blonde head happened to come near, he might hear a familiar voice attempting to sing bits and pieces of Daathic hymns as he worked, having apparently forgotten he was supposed to look out for somebody.
The brief sound of the song caught his attention immediately, and he walked with a hurried pace. That was... he wasn't exactly sure, but it definitely sounded native to Auldrant. As he rounded the last corner, spotting the young boy crouched over, his jaw nearly dropped.
The voice definitely caught his attention, and he looked up from his work to see--oh, that's who he was waiting for! Probably. He looked about right, at least. There was just one problem...
Guy paused, an icy chill traveling down his spine. "Florian...?" memories of Ion's face hidden behind Sync's mask crept up on him... Were they still making replicas, did that mean?
Trying to shake off the surprise, the blonde laughed nervously. "Ah! Sorry, my mistake, Florian. I'm Guy. You must be the special delivery I'm here to pick up!" he quickly tried to lighten the mood. "Did Jade tell you I was coming?"
