Breakfast that morning had been far from appetizing. The smell of burnt eggs and left Timon feeling nauseous, never mind the look of the runny pancakes that had fallen on his plate. How anyone could be expected to eat such a grotesque meal was a mystery. Personally, he would have preferred waffles but Vyers and used the last of the mix for his pathetic attempt at pancakes. As for any fruit he had harboured in the house, he had sparingly given it to Pumbaa leaving himself in hunger. He groaned at the thought as he walked though the park, dragging his feet as he walked. His stomach growled angrily at him ( ... )

Hands on her hips, Tinkerbell looked up at the domed sky far above, considering what she should do next. But a sudden noise tripped all her instincts and she looked over her shoulder just in time to see a strange animal jumping right for her. Gasping, she flew just out of his reach, turning in the air kick out her dainty foot right into his nose.

"Hey! What do you think you're doing!?"

Not only had it seemed he’d missed his breakfast but also been struck on the nose by it. And, boy, had they ever socked him good. Timon’s nose was practically throbbing. Still spread flat against the ground where he had landed, the meerkat carefully reached to sooth his tender nose. Immediately, he winced and pulled away. Just what the heck was that thing? It hadn’t somehow stung him, had it? Was it poisonous? A moan escaped as he looked up, holding his nose.

“Ow,” he drew on with a long whine. “What did you have to go and do that for? I never hurt nobody. Oh- ouch!” Timon winced again and raised his nose for the… girl to see. He still could not tell what had hit him, other than that it was female and that explained a lot more than one would think. “Oh, my nose s’not bleedin’, is it?” he asked through a sniffle, worry ever evident in his voice. “I’m- I’m starting to feel faint. Everything is going dark.”

She'd been prepared for a fight, hovering on the air with her hands curled into fists...but now she slowly lowered her hands, blinking in absolute astonishment at the sight before her. "H-Hey..." Tinkerbell muttered, raising an eyebrow. "Um..." She glanced around before floating a little closer, bending to get a closer look at whatever damage might have been.

"You shouldn't have tried to sneak up on me like that!" If this was a predator, it was the weirdest predator she'd ever seen.

Unfortunately for Tinkerbell, he was also one of the more sneaky predators she’d have the misfortune of meeting. Between sniffling and drying his tears, the meerkat snuck a number of glances at the fairy, waiting ever so patiently for her to draw near. With the risk of her flying away, he would have to wait until she was close enough for him to snatch before pouncing again. It was sly and it was a little evil to trick her, but he was also hungry and she was the biggest bug he had ever seen. If he even managed to get her guard down he may have had better chance of grabbing her ( ... )
