The past week before, Tidus had slowly been getting more accustom to this new, strange place he'd landed in. For the most part, he had seemed to take it pretty well. Seriously, just how often did people get the chance to be whisked away to new worlds? And meet another version of their dad for that matter? ...Okay, so perhaps he had felt just a little lonely without Wakka to mess around with. But he figured that he would be back home in no time. Well- At least. So he had thought at first. As oblivious as Tidus could be though, he wasn't completely out of the loop with reality.

And that might explain why he was out wandering the streets that day. Smoothing over his nerves. No big deal. There was a way back home, yeah. Definitely. For sure. Without doubt. He would just have to ask around. Simple enough, right? It was with those thoughts that he was buried in that he didn't notice Zexion until he... not so graciously ran into him.

"Oof!" He staggered back a few steps, looking up with a wary grin. "Sorry about that!"

Well. Now there was something he hadn't encountered before. Most of his first encounters with potential pawns were less... physical, and it was only by luck (or paranoia) that he'd made sure to keep his illusion present itself correctly to to more senses than simply the visual. Still, it made for a memorable first meeting, if not the best.

"Watch where you're going, next time."

"I will, I will.Sheesh..." He couldn't help but mutter the last bit despite himself. Yeah, so he wasn't the most polite kid, but he didn't exactly enjoy being told off either. He rubbed his shoulder just a little and shook his head before he finally looked up at the person he had run across. The guy looked a little worse for wear- and talk about that pale tone to his skin. Had he ever even seen the sun in his life? Seriously! And, of course, with Tidus being a natural people person. As he wandered away, no less, he mumbled to himself quite... loudly. Pronounced.

"Just what kind of world did that guy come come from? Looks like he's never seen the sun even once in his life."

A complexion like that was rare back home at least as far as he was concerned. But by then he had at least started to understand the concept that, well... Most people here weren't from there. But pssha, details.

Typical. But a typical response wasn't necessarily a bad one. No, quite the contrary as a matter of fact. It gave him more of an idea of what to expect. If the answer had been atypical it would have given him more pause, but what he'd gotten was a good enough for now. The next question was whether or not this boy would prove at all useful to his long-term plans; something that could only come out of a longer conversation than what had come up so far.

Not that this was any sort of problem for Zexion, especially with the boy's remark being so very easy to pick up on. It was almost as if he'd been trying to nettle a response out of him and one easily picked up admission deserved another, in his mind.

"Perhaps I haven't," he commented, being careful to modulate his tone so that it sounded as much like an off-hand comment as Tidus' had, to the point that it might not have truly have been directed at him at all. (Of course, it had been, in essence, but that was hardly going to be anything Zexion was about to admit to.)
