She was restless. It wasn't rare for Yorda to wander the city, taking in the sights she already knew so well, but tonight, for some reason, she lingered near one of the gates, wondering if perhaps she shouldn't go and look for Mao. She was worried about him; what if he got hungry or cold, or tired? Of course, Mao was much stronger than that, but it didn't stop the princess from noticing.
As she looked at the gate, trying to decide, she noticed a man with pointed ears, white hair and glasses like Mao and walked up to him curiously. "Who are you?" she asked, remembering what Mao had told her. "Are you a demon?"
Geoffrey looked at the pale girl in front of him. She could be his chance of getting out of here, so he politely answered:
“My name is Geoffrey. Yes, I’m a demon. Do not be afraid please, I mean no harm…” he then proceeded “I just want to know where I am. I need to leave this place as soon as possible! I have matters I must attend to, you see.”
This girl was very different from the people walking around the city so he hoped she knew something.
"I am not afraid of demons," Yorda told the strange man in front of her with a smile. Why would she be afraid of someone, simply because of demonic heritage? The girl didn't know the rumors and stories that flew around in other worlds regarding them, much less here. She frowned a little. "No one has been able to leave this place. I do not know why." And even though Yorda didn't mind, many others seemed to.
Odd. All humans Geoffrey knew were afraid of demons…. That is, most of them.
“If you want an good advice, Miss Yorda, you should fear them. They’re dangerous creatures. I mean, we, we are dangerous!”
The butler looked at the floor. “No one has been able to leave you say… well, I will eventually find a way sooner or later.”
Guess his plans are going to be delayed again, what a bore! Geoffrey started to think about the ghost that has been silently haunting the Evil Academy… Was he responsible for what’s happening? Impossible…
It wasn't easy to miss in the dark; Yorda wasn't human to begin with. From the slightly-pointed ears to the glow she constantly emitted, it was easy to see that Yorda was anything but human. "I am not afraid," she repeated, a gentle smile on her face. "The people I love the most are demons." At least, Urd was half-demon, and Mao was fully one. "There is no reason I should fear them." Wait, hadn't the strange man included himself? He didn't seem fearsome at all.
"You cannot leave," she continued, "but sometimes people disappear. I have heard they return to their own worlds." Yorda, meanwhile, very much did not want to go back; she had finally been able to enjoy life, and she was sure she would die once she returned.
