The collective bad mood both of them felt a while back finally seemed to have stopped. In her case it didn't take much except tell herself she needed to go slap some sense into whoever was King at the moment, it was Kovu she was a bit more worried about. His mood turned sour all of a sudden... and then suddenly, he looked okay again. Well, whatever, she wasn't one to pry into others business like this. In any case, she was glad her guide was back to normal... maybe a bit too much.

"Kovu, are you showing me around... or taking me out on a date?" she asked, somewhere between a sigh and amusement. However, whatever was supposed to happen next got cut short rather quickly. "... is that what I think it is?"

The Onion Knight and Terra had just set their stuff aside for a moment so they could take a break at the watering hole without the burden of carrying it around. The Knight didn't think there would be a problem with doing that, it wasn't really in the way and they wouldn't be gone long.

The Knight was relaxing by the water, well, relaxing as much as he could while being stuck in this form, when he heard the strangled roar. His ears perked up and he looked at Terra, "Did you hear that?"

Terra was near the waterside, taking a much needed drink. It was definitely going to take some getting used to, having to lap up water with her tongue like this... she frowned, feeling as though she hadn't quenched her thirst amongst all the effort it was taking just to get some of the water in her moouth...

As the roar sounded in the distance, her head shot upwards, ears perked in the direction it came from. "Did it come from over there?" she took a few steps over, and crouched down, trying to conceal her form in the grass while at the same time attempting to peek over it for a better look. "A lion? And..."

The slightly wounded lion kept his paw in the air, staring at the little metal object embedded in between the pads. How'd it even get up here?

"I don't know, I don't think I've ever seen something like this before. Nnngh!" He tried to get his teeth around it, but he couldn't quite reach. "How am I supposed to get it out?"

His ears swiveled as they caught the sound of voices, and he sniffed the air. Hyena...and meerkat? And he didn't smell any blood other than his own. He spotted them at the watering hole, not far away at all, but he really didn't think it was a good idea to try to walk with this thing stuck in his paw like that.

Was that a sword? Well, okay it was much smaller than usual, but yes, it looked like a sword. What the hell was it doing here in the first place? It's not like lions just randomly carried swords around... especially not one that could probably be used as toothpicks.

"Oh just yank it out, that should do it," she said, moving to grab it... wait... with what? She sometimes kept forgetting that she wasn't human here, with a definite lack of anything resembling a hand. "Err... we might be in trouble here."
