Oh it has been a while since the Mad Hatter has been to a tea party that wasn’t hosted by him. Walking into this place, he clapped his gloved hands together in delight. After all, there were SO many teacups almost everywhere and anywhere. Almost at once the Hatter rushed over to one of the tables and sat down in his seat. Giggling in delight.

“This is just lovely! It’s too bad the March Hare nor the Dormouse are not here to join me they would enjoy this, certainly!” the Mad Hatter spoke to himself as he admired all that way around him, being easily distracted by the slightest glint of something shiny.

The clapping would have startled Iroh if he had not already been hardened by the noises that often occurred just outside of his shop and home. He turned back to see the Mad Hatter seated and squirming impatiently for his next fix of tannin.

"Are the 'Hare' and 'Dormouse' here at Paixao? I would love to meet such characters if they are anything like you, Mr. Hatter!" he exclaimed, never fearing of eccentricity.

Hatter turned on sound of the familiar voice. Ah! There he is, the man himself, the main gentleman! Iroh! Smiling, the Mad Hatter waved up at him before speaking, “Oh, no. Most sadly they are not here with us, still back in my home world I’m afraid, Wonderland,” He gestured out, “But most assuredly they are the closest and the most wondrous friends of mine. All mad you know, like me, but only the best type of mad of course!”

Giving out a giggle the Mad Hatter leaned back in his chair, having a friendly conversation was very good for him he thought to himself as he spoke, “If ever they should come here though, I’ll be sure to introduce you at once! Have you close friends here yourself from your own world? Or have you already lived here before?”

Iroh nodded along to the conversation, taking in as much as he could over the clamor within the busy shop. "Wonderland? I can only imagine what it looks like, as it must be-"

He took way too long of a pause to finally blurt out the only word that could come to his mind, though it did provide a little mental fatigue to even use such a term.

"-wonderful? In any case, I would love to meet all the members of your gang. There are a few familiar faces from my world here, and it certainly helps to pass the time."

Toph walked in to the tea shop with a small smile on her face. She could feel that Iroh was there, and she took a seat at a nearby table and propped her feet up on it, leaning back in her chair.

"It's been a while since we had tea, huh?" She spoke loudly, trying to get the old man's attention.

Iroh turned back to her as the teapots assembled across a stovepot were beginning to whistle back at him. "Miss Bei Fong! I had been expecting you! Excuse me for one moment!" he shouted back at her over the steamy squeals. He threaded his hand underneath the handles of them and moved them all at once to a cooling spot covered with thick mats.

He approached her and asked, "What can I serve one of my favorite customers?"

"Do you have the kind we had when we met? That was good!" Toph pulled her legs back and leaned forward. "Looks like you've been getting a lot of business. Glad I can help." She grinned and slammed some emerald leaves on the table.

"Of course. It is one of my favorites as well," he said while walking back to the counter and dropping a bag full of leaves into a hot kettle. When he came back to the table, he noted to Toph, "I know the party is quiet at the moment, but will you make an effort to be social when more people come in? I fear I won't be able to come and sit by this table the whole afternoon." He tried to mask the heartbreak in his voice of asking this kind of favor.

Strolling into the teashop, Yzma arrived at the scene. Dressed up quite fancily, long feathers coming out of her violet hat, but that wasn’t so unusual for her. She adjusted her boa as she sat down in one of the tables in the shade, as gracefully as one old lady could in a seat, after all a diva knows no limit on elegance.

Yzma looked around her, taking in the scenery around her. Honestly she was much more use to being in the dark for the most part, but it wasn’t like she was allergic to sunlight or anything. Yzma does get out when she can and when it’s necessary, but rather keep to herself than anything else.

Iroh noticed the sashay of the one and only Yzma and quickly followed suit of the boa-wrapped lady making an a dramatic spectacle of herself. He came to the dimly lit table she selected in a much more calm and collected manner than the others. "It is so wonderful to see you, Miss Yzma! You are looking very elegant today."

Glancing upward to Iroh, it was so pleasant to have someone finally act like a proper gentleman around here. It was ever so rare that one would at least know the correct way with her. Though she cannot help it if she so picky, but to her, she knows she deserves only the best. Yzma crossed her legs in her long dress as she turned toward him.

“Why thank you Iroh, it’s a pleasure to see you as well. How have you been holding up my dear?” she asked, crossing her hands across her arms that now leaned against the table.

Iroh wiped away the sweat on his large forehead on his robe's sleeve, hoping not to seem overwhelmed with his current workload. "I have been holding up like a tree. Sadly, my tree has many more rings than others. However, I drink enough tea to keep me going and have enough experience to know when I should stop," he said, only pausing once to huff a deep breath. "What can I offer you to drink today?"

Tea parties had never really been exactly Cid's thing. Too damned girly, not to mention the whole 'party' thing. But he wasn't about to turn down the prospect of decent tea all the same. Not when the city was so criminally lacking in it in the first place. He'd just have to be careful to not let Strife here about him going to something with such a frilly name.

Not, he had to admit, that that was gonna be hard. No one could really call him the inquisitive type anyway. Still, there was a slight moment of hesitation as he stepped in the door. Wouldn't do to have someone catch sight of him.

Upon seeing the gristly man with goggles over the top of thorny blonde locks, Iroh immediately knew he had garnered a unique clientele in Paixao that made Bao Sing Se look absolutely grey in comparison. He proceeded to come closer and talk to the new customer with some caution. He knew that reputation for some of the citizens was the best they could have. He tried hard to bring his machismo to the front and center.

"Seat yourself wherever there is an open seat. What kind of tea do you want?" he asked in a business-like manner more becoming of a store owner.

Well, Cid had to say he hadn't expected quite that sort of greeting. But he wasn't sure he could complain about it either. If he was going to be here he might as well pretend that it was just another sort of tea shop. Hell, that was what was, after all.

"What kinds have you got?"

Iroh thought about how to respond to Cid, reckoning whether he should be a braggart and list all of the teas he has to him. If he did, would he do it in alphabetical order, and if he did, would be in the name of the tea itself or the type of tea? Better yet, he could list the different subtypes under big types. Would he sort THOSE by the color of the tea or the strength? Or-

Realizing he had left his guest standing while he pondered how to impress him, he scratched his head and shrugged.

"All of them?"

Megara stood outside the tea shop, looking up at the banner with dread. Did she really want to get herself attached to more people, now that Hades was still around? She shook her head, frowning at her own idiocy. Stupid. It's just tea. No one's asking to be your best friend. One dainty sandaled foot in front of the other, she moved inside.

She moved to the side, taking in the shop and the customers.

The moment Megara moved aside, Iroh was absent-mindedly looking around at the business of the shop and smiling at the whirling conversation and joy that was surrounding him. He felt something bump into his side as he was slowly walking backwards and discovered Meg beside him.

"It is so good to see you!" he said, placing a warm hand on her shoulder, "Come in, come in!" He knew he would wear himself thin if he attended to every customer coming in with such generosity, but it was worth it. Besides, Megara was a special case.

"Uh, oh...th-thanks," she mumbled, a bit taken aback by the storm of warmth and friendliness that greeted her in this unassuming old man. Before she could stop herself, she backed away from his hand, arms crossed. She attempted a smile, something a bit crooked and queasy and tried to cover up her discomfort. "It's just you here, huh?"

Iroh had an usually graceful energy to his movement, often sweeping saucers and stacking cups in single motions. He had taken some notes from the water benders he had seen in his many years in order to create a flow in his work. It paid off in spades, especially since he could carry conversation while attending to his craft. Even in his most individual element, it was unique to see from an outsider's perspective.

"Everyone says that like they are surprised. How old do I look?" he cheerfully asked.
