Given the various interactions of the castle and those who were in it, it had been quite some time since Zexion had last found the time to come and visit the library. Strictly speaking, of course, he had no real need to visit the town library. There were books enough for him to find elsewhere, should he desire a moment free of the threads of intrigue that wove their way through the city. And sometimes he did spend days away from the city save for a watching eye.
But the town's library had one distinct advantage. It brought together a variety of people, and with the demands of the city dying down for the time, it was time to see what all could be made of the intrigues of the city.
Of course, even then he wasn't about to show up as he truly was. No, for this it was time for Ian to his favorite haunts - and run into a few friends while he was at.
Belle gasped, startled out of her reading. "O-oh!" She blinked in confusion a few times at him before breaking into a sheepish smile. "Ian...of course, you're right. I just get so curious about every book that I can't keep my hands off them!" Blushing faintly, she set the book aside and hopped off the table, approaching him.
"It's been awhile since I've seen you. How have you been?"
Well, he certainly couldn't blame her for that. He knew all too well the perils of a thoroughly intriguing book. It was the fate of bookworm, after all and not necessarily one that was less than enjoyable, at that.
"I've been well," he answered with a smile. "Keeping to myself, mostly."
Brushing back a strand of hair from her face, she smiled. "I'm just glad you're alright. It's so dangerous here, after all...I'd hate for you to be caught up in darkness." Belle glanced over her shoulder to the quiet peaceful scene of the books and shelves around them. "Whenever I feel frightened or unsure, I come back here..."
"You'll never want for warriors, here," Zexion answered wry smile. True, most of them were bound within their books, but the books themselves could make for a decent enough weapon in a pinch. And he did have to agree about it being a place that felt safe, although he wouldn't have been to explain quite why.
"Nor do I think anyone would wish to be caught up in darkness."

"I'd imagine it would be faster to clean first."
