Character(s): Edward Elric and Vanitas Content: Ed and Vanitas say hi. With weapons. Setting: Jogo da Crianca Time: Afternoonish Warnings: Violence and Ed's potty mouth. Oh, and more violence!
Ed's spear went through the illusion, and his eyes went wide in surprise. He almost dropped his weapon as the shards of ice magically rose from the cobblestone street. He did his best to dodge the ice, but one the shards caught his coat, and dragged him up with it until the fabric ripped and he fell back to the ground. He landed on his feet and ripped off the remains of his red coat, dropped the spear, and clapped his hands together, transmuting the ice so the shards now went after the masked boy.
Ed could feel the ice through his gloves, and he could feel the cold burning his hand and starting to freeze his automail hand. Still, he was able to grab the spear again, as he could just barely move his fingers. He ran along the ice that was still going after Vanitas and tried to strike him again.
Feel free to try to grab at him while he has the chance!chingdomkyeMay 16 2011, 03:19:29 UTC
"Hmph." Vanitas scoffed at the ice being sent back at him. Before it even reached him, the masked boy dove into the ground, leaving only a cloud of darkness streaked with red energy to indicate where he was. He only had to position himself under his opponent...
Who luckily was coming for him.
Vanitas aimed for the other's shadow, at which point he shot up, trying to strike with all his power.
He didn't bother with the fireballs. Why waste the effort on this pipsqueak?
Ed halted to s stop. That guy! He just disappeared! Ed whirled around just in time to get out of the way of the dark boy's attack. He dropped the spear (a longer ranged weapon was not ideal for this sudden situation change) and clapped his hands, trying to transmute the weapon of the other. He managed to grab it, and the keyblade split and curled, looking a lot like a peeled banana.
He couldn't help but smirk as he watched the weapon turn into what he thought was useless scrap. Ed grabbed his spear again and tried to swing the pole under his opponent's feet to trip him.
Vanitas didn't react immediately to the paired-back weapon, taking it in stride as he always does. Vanitas simply jumped when the short kid tried to trip him, leaving an afterimage for a moment in the air before re-appearing on top of the wall again. There he idly looked over his Keyblade, all the while still keeping an eye on his opponent, just in case.
"Nice trick." The statement actually seemed sincere.
But it still had the same weight, though it seemed as if every fleshy part of his Keyblade had gone to the "peels." With a shrug, he tore off the peels, and the weapon dripped a dark liquid that dissipated instantly. It was still imbued with darkness. And at least there was still a grip of sorts.
Vanitas leapt, swinging what was now a large, blunt instrument with a downward motion towards the little alchemist.
Was this guy crazy? His weapon was practically useless now! Or, at least he thought until he had dodged Vanitas and could still see that that weird thing could still do some pretty good damage.
Ed thought he saw an opening and he took it, right when Vanitas hit the ground where he had previously stood. He jabbed the spear towards the black guy, trying to at least force him back and maybe have him lose his balance.
