Xion hadn't been in her room when she received the letter, which really wasn't much of a surprise- she was avoiding the Organization as much as she could get away with, and spent most of her time on the Paixao level with the coat.

It was a little weird, just getting a letter like this, but Xion opened it carefully and read. Turn the key? What key?

...The Keyblade?

Somehow, she didn't think that was it, but her curiosity got the better of her. She hunted around for a pen, before tentatively circling the 'yea' on the paper.

Now what?

When the call had been answered finally, and the doll had been summoned by a human, a possible new medium, her box was whisked away. It was simply there one second, and gone the next.

There was no flash of light, no disturbance of the elements around Xion, nothing signaling the appearance of Kanaria's box. But, lo and behold, it was right behind her now, laying flat on the ground with the same golden rose from the wax seal facing the world. If she so chose, it would be easily opened, and a sleeping Kanaria, curled gently around a golden turn-key, would be seen inside.

There is a hole in Kanaria's back, barely hidden by a petite yellow bow, that would perfectly fit that one turn-key. It would only take a few turns of said key, but whether or not Xion figured out what to do, or whether she would, was another question.

Xion didn't see the box immediately, a jumped a little in surprise when she did. Where did that come from?

She hesitated at first, thinking maybe someone had left it there, but... she knew it hadn't been there when she'd sat down. She reached down, lifting it into her lap and looking at the rose. There was no key visible then, but the box opened easily.

Inside was... well, she thought it was a doll. She knew vaguely what they were, but had never had one herself. When she spotted the key, that sort of made since with the letter. She picked up it up gingerly, looking at it and trying to figure out what it could go to.

Maybe the doll? She carefully picked up the doll and saw the slot on her back, the same size as the key. She put the key in it, beginning to turn slowly.

She was as limp as any other doll when picked up, and hardly as heavy as a cat. But there was little more than the brush of porcelain ball joints when she was moved about at all--no clatter of gears anywhere inside.

But after a few turns of the key, the little doll started to jerk of her own accord as her eyes opened. It sounded as though there were turning cogs as joints started to move and come back to life.

Luckily, Xion didn't panic- she was surprised, sure, but she'd seen candlesticks walking around before so this wasn't that weird.

She waited quietly for the doll to restart, before giving her a little smile. Hopefully she'd helped, somehow. "Hello," she said, once she thought the doll might be able to pay attention to her, "Are you alright?"
