But, well, both had happened, despite her best efforts.
"He calls himself a god and he can control Heartless. He's not someone to be messed with... and I should probably tell Auron. He would want to know."
She's feeling a mess of emotions right now: guilt, worry, fear, longing... She's just glad Tidus is here right now. His presence is helping calm her down considerably.

Which might have been a little bit easier if he knew what Hades looked like, but Tidus hadn't thought that far ahead quite yet.
"Well, I don't care what he says he is. Between me, Auron, and Rikku, you won't have to worry about anything like that happening again." He meant it, too, and the tone of his voice and the look on his face made that obvious. Tidus could tell that she was worried, and that maybe this was more complicated than he was letting himself think - and he wandered about that, somewhere in the back of his mind - but, for the moment, the reassurance that he wouldn't let anything else happen was all that he could think to give. After all they had been though, he knew that they all could handle whatever or whoever this place threw at them.

"A lot of people helped me escape. I should have thanked them more, but now it's been so long... so many of them have come and gone since then." She let her gaze fall back to her lap. Now she was just worried about the same thing happening again.
"If Hades finds out you're close to me, he might use you as bait to hurt me... or the other way around."
Either way, it would probably work and she was worried about it. She didn't want to lose Tidus again.

He just had to make sure Yuna knew that.
"If he tries, I won't let him. We'll be okay. Trust me." And he absolutely believed that. If something happened, they would be alright, one way or another.
He wasn't going anywhere. Not a chance.

"I know... I believe you," she whispered into his ear as she held on. "And... thank you... for being my guardian for so long."
For guarding her, for being the person she loved, for always being there for her, for supporting her when she thought she'd fall. The list went on forever and she knew she'd never be able to show or tell him how much she appreciated everything he'd done for her.
