The last thing Hope was expecting was the sound of a motorcycle. ...No, wait, that wasn't the last thing. the LAST thing was almost getting hit by a motorcycle. He barely had time to throw himself to the ground, and felt the weight of the vehicle slam into his leg as he fell, spinning him like a top and making the landing less than graceful. His shout, more of surprise than pain, echoed around the area near the gate.

He lay there, trying to catch the breath he'd lost in the suddenness of it all, and just looked up at the sky. The sound of the bike crashing made him jump to his feet and stare in the direction of the wreck. The sight was an all too familiar one, though the setting was definitely new.

Tidus was, shockingly enough, often an early riser. Sneaking out in the morning for some fresh air was nothing new to him. He had done it back in his Zanarkand, during his time in Spira, and he had taken up the habit again in Paixao. So, in the morning, he knew what to expect - peace and quiet.

Not out-of-control motorcycles speeding through gates.

Especially not out-of-control motorcycles speeding through gates that almost hit him.

Thankfully, the guy, whoever he was, did a decent job at swerving just in time, possibly helped by Tidus flinging himself backwards, out of harm's way. He recovered quickly enough, quickly regaining his footing, and heard a shout. It wasn't long before he saw the damage - the guy on the bike had crashed, and there was a kid standing nearby. Had the shout been from him, or from the driver? Either way, Tidus wasn't going to walk away without taking a look.

"Is, um...everyone okay, over here?" he said, getting a little bit closer to the damage.

Cloud was okay, mostly. After routinely taking massive fireballs and explosions at point blank range and shrugging it off, shrugging off a crash like this was nothing.

"I'm fine," But what about the other one? He knew the blond boy wasn't the only one he nearly ran over. Cloud quickly scanned the area and noticed a younger boy with slivery looking hair. He dismounted his bike, and ran over to where the boy was.

"Are you alright?" He asked, trying, and hopefully not failing, to be soothing.

"What is wrong with you?" Hope had tried, at least at first, to not be angry, but he'd come close to almost getting run over by this guy. "Who drives their motorcycle around like that?!"

He clenched his fists tight and gestured toward the wreck that was the remains of the motorcycle and the gate that it had just careened into. "Why weren't you looking where you were going?"

He was definitely glad that the driver was okay - the crash hadn't looked too terrible, but between all the noise and the rushing it had been hard to tell. So, with that taken care of, Tidus didn't hesitate to also turn toward the kid, who hadn't answered yet.

It was his angry reply that encouraged Tidus to speak up...because, honestly, he couldn't blame him for reacting like that - he didn't like nearly getting hit, either - but it didn't really look to him like the driver was to blame.

"Woah, wait. Maybe it was just an accident." Honestly, Tidus would be pretty upset himself...if he hadn't thought of where they were. But this was the gate where he had entered the city, which made him think that maybe the guy hadn't seen the gate coming because it shouldn't have been coming. Guess the only thing he could do, he realized, was ask. "Seriously, though, what were you doing?" he said, turning back to the blonde guy.
