There was a multitude of thoughts running through the princess' mind. She'd never found herself captive before, and even so... her guardians, the Starlights -- they had always been there when something went wrong. But she'd fled from them this time, left everything behind... Surely, it was much the same for everyone else that had found themselves in Paixao, as well.

She sighed, clasping her hands together as her gaze skipped over to Nana. She wanted to help the girl, truly. And after that display at the gate -- Kakyuu couldn't help but feel sorry for her. What had caused her legs to simply... detatch like that? Although it was a concern, she decided not to bring it up again, not yet at least. Not until... Nana felt a little more comfortable around her.

The click click clicks of the journal drew her attention, as she glided over towards the girl, and leaned over her shoulder. "It's quite the device, isn't it?"

Nana was still in the middle of a thought process when she felt a slight pressure on her shoulder. Turning her head, she felt herself blush a little. She had been trying hard to search her memory that she hadn't noticed Kakyuu coming toward her.

She smiled. "It's so different than the radio thing I've used. Only two people can talk back and forth, while more than one can through this journal!"

Kakyuu chuckled. "It was the same for me, too. I had never seen anything like it before..." And certainly, one couldn't deny that it was a useful tool. "It's a mass communication device that allows other people like us, that have been brought to Paixao, can use to speak with one another on a larger scale."

She thought a moment. "Have you been able to contact anyone that is familiar to you?"

It would take her some time to get used to this device. Nana certainly would be at the ready to learn, once given the opportunity. Not just with her journal, but just about everything there is that she doesn't already know about the outside world ( ... )

"Mm," was her only reaction at first. It was painfully true, that even this new strange world had its fair share of threats, and to hear that Nana had made contact with one -- was worrisome. No doubt, there were those who would try to take advantage of a trusting, innocent girl like Nana, and so, Kakyuu would have to be sure to take extra precautions in trying to protect the girl from here on.

"There are people out in the world... who wouldn't think twice about taking advantage of another's kindness, Nana. That is why we must be careful in whom we place our trust..." A sort of roundabout way to tell her to be more careful but -- the princess didn't want to come across as though she was scolding the girl, either.

"You said there was another animal that wanted to help you?"
