As soon as she entered the apartment, Lightning headed for the kitchen area to get something to drink. The day had barely begun and she was already thirsty and tired from it. They'd figure out living arrangements once everyone else was... back from wherever they were right now.

It hadn't taken long to discover that Celes' apartment was not just her apartment, but rather it seemed several resided here. She still felt rather awkward about it, even though it turned out Terra was also staying here. That had been rather a surprise. She certainly hadn't expected to end up in the same place as Terra, much less the same apartment. Of course, above all, she hadn't expected to see Terra as Terra when she arrived here.

Time was a strange thing here, it seemed. Her discussion with Sora and Riku still lingered in her mind. If she understood correctly, Xehanort's "Nobody", Xemnas was here, somewhere. How could she find him...?

Aqua was lost in thought as wandered in the direction of the kitchen, stopping when she suddenly realized she was seeing someone whom she had not yet met.

"Oh! Um. Hello."

"Morning, Light," Hope said as he walked into the kitchen and made a bee line for the fridge. He stopped though, when he realized there was another person here, about Light's age. He looked flustered and stepped back a little, trying to appear less awkward than he was feeling about it and actually doing so badly that he seemed more embarrassed than he felt.

"Uh...hi," he said, staring straight at his shoes.

Lightning had just gotten her glass of water, compensation from a morning's workout, when she heard first the footsteps approaching and then the unfamiliar voice. She turned in the direction of the newcomer, noting the bright blue hair. Hope's entrance took her attention momentarily and she shifted, protective body language familiar for Hope at least, though if Aqua was perceptive enough, she could figure it out, too.

"You're the one Celes brought in?" The one other person in this apartment Lightning didn't know. Her tone was calm, though it carried a warning undertone.

Celes walked in to the dooreway of the apartment, halting abruptly at the number of people that were around. Right, the housewarming party. She had forgotten (or was that she was hoping that Lightning would forget? It didn't matter now anyway). The former general let out a small sigh. She wasn't unacquainted with social gatherings, but most of her experiences had to do with delegating with heads of state and making a proper show of Gestahlian nobility. Which she detested vehemently ( ... )

Lightning wouldn't have called it a housewarming party, exactly, simply because she wasn't much for social scenes, either. Still, it was nice to be able to talk to everyone who lived here at some point or another and the moment she noticed Celes' presence, she slid out of whatever she was doing and headed over.

If she couldn't be a wallflower, neither could her roommates.

"It's almost getting to be a zoo in here," she commented good-naturedly, smirking at the other warrior.

Vanille quickly made herself at home. Flopping onto a chair, she curled her arms behind her head and looked around.

"I wonder who else is here..." she bit her lip and leaned forward, grabbing the front of her chair, "Hey, roomies~!"

Though she sounded bright and cheerful, Vanille was actually quite nervous.

Hope looked over at Vanille and smiled. "Still anxious?"

He hadn't been able to tell at all at first, right after everything happened, but now that his head was more clear, it was almost obvious. Vanille was trying to hide how worried she was.

"Erm...a little." Vanille admitted in an undertone, "You seem to be taking everything in stride." she smiled a bit, "I think I'm proud of you."

Her motherly side had to surface eventually. Hope, you're doomed.

"Y-you are?" That wasn't what Hope been expecting to hear. Vanille hadn't seen him the night that he fought Alexander. He got the feeling that if she had been there, she would think differently.

The train of thought led him to looking down at his shoes, rather than at her.
