The past couple of weeks had just been weird for Sora, and it had been a mix of good and bad. He wished Riku hadn't run off to who knows where after the fight they had. And the whole discussion with Aqua about who Xehanort, and ultimatey Xemnas, really was was weighing heavily on his mind. But at least Roxas finally knew the truth about himself. And he was patching things up with Simba. Sora being Sora tried to stay optimistic and focus on the positive, but even he couldn't stay positive all the time.

He was out walking around the city, trying to find a way to clear his head when he noticed a familiar head of spiky, blond hair. What was Roxas doing outside the city like that?

"Hey, Roxas!" Sora called as he ran up to him.

Ven, of course, didn't turn around when he heard the unfamiliar name called. He didn't think anything of it - just someone in this world, looking for a person they knew.

It was only when someone walked up behind him that he thought to notice anything odd. He looked at the boy, expecting him to walk right by...and very surprised when he didn't.

Strange. There was no one else standing near him, so why...? He stops walking, surprise showing visibly on his face.

"Oh, I'm sorry. Were you talking to me?" he asked politely, wondering if there was some kind of mistake. After all, he didn't even know this guy...and he didn't know the name "Roxas", either.

Sora stopped in his tracks and gapped at the other boy. This wasn't Roxas. He looked and sounded almost exactly like Roxas. But for some reason Sora could tell that he wasn't. He also had the strangest feeling of deja vu. As though he'd met this boy somewhere before.

"Yeah I was. You look exactly like my friend Roxas!"

"Really? That's weird." Someone who looked just like him? It was a weird idea, but it would explain the mix-up. Still, before Ven answered, he stopped, looking at the other boy for just a second. It was...strange. For some reason, he felt like they must have met somewhere before. But, try though he might, Ventus couldn't remember ever seeing him, or anyone like him, before.

Must have just been his imagination, he thought.

"Sorry about the confusion." he said, smiling. "My name is Ventus - Ven, for short."

"I'm Sora!" He replied cheerfully to the other boy. The fact that he looked and sounded just like Roxas was largely forgotten already. As was the feeling of deja-vu.

"So you just got here, right?" Sora asked, though the answer to that question was obvious.
