Wolf backed up, he looked all around him, heartless were attacking. His mind raced, he felt his heart beat loud, confusion and fear already was starting to blind him. Wolf waved his arms and slashed away any heartless that were threatening to come near him. He at least thought they were coming at him, but no, they seem to be attracted to Zidane. Wolf’s eyes widen, why were they doing that? He should be the one taking care of Zidane, not the heartless, he growled, “What in the fairying ( ... )

Okay, he got this. Really.

No, no.

He got this during the first two waves of Heartless, now he was kind of getting unsteady on his feet, the yellow of the eyes blurring together and making him lose focus. Come on, Zidane, buck up. You've been through worse. But he always had someone fighting besides him, watching his back even. Zidane wasn't even sure where Wolf was, and wasn't that just causing him to panic more than he needed right now.

"You guys can't get enough of me, eh?!" he yells, slashing through the abyss. His swings were getting more inaccurate. He tried to steady his breathing and focus, but they weren't stopping -

“ZIDAAAANNNEE!!!”

His head snaps up and he looks in the direction of the shout. Wolf! He was still alright! Well. He was still conscious anyway. "Wo -" his answering call is cut off by the Heartless taking advantage of his distraction and beating him into the ground. His head knocks hard into Paixao's street, and Zidane is out cold, daggers scattering away from him.

Wolf jaw dropped as the heartless knocked out Zidane. He jumped from his spot slashing his way toward him, the heartless dissolved in each hit. Wolf was in a fury, and full out confusion. Why were heartless out here in the first place?! He smashed away the heartless, but was pulled back away from them onto the ground. Wolf whipped his head back as he watched them beat Zidane senseless. He sat there for a minute or so wondering what to do. Should he save Zidane? Wolf didn’t want to kill him. He was only really suspicious of him, that’s all ( ... )

Scar's eyes grew wide with interest when Wolf began to scream into his journal. He peered over the edge of his perch, then silently leaped down, some distance away from where Wolf and the Heartless were still fighting. They chipped away at the tailed boy's stamina, and though it took far longer than Scar had expected, eventually the Heartless won. The boy fell, losing consciousness as his head hit the pavement. Scar smiled.

With a wave of his paw, the Heartless were gone. Wolf himself was not perfectly unscathed, which would make this all the easier should someone show up--perhaps this "Remus" he'd called to on the journals. Scar approached without a sound from behind.

"Wolf, what have you done?" His voice pierced the silence with a certain menace, his accusatory tone echoing through the empty street.

Wolf whipped his head up to look at the lion that approached him. He knew who it was, “Scar!” Wolf spoke out seeing him only frightened and confused him more, why was he here. More importantly, Scar saw what happened, and thought this to be Wolf’s fault. He looked around, at the dark vacant streets, still holding onto Zidane. He gritted his teeth as he stared back into Scar’s eyes.

“I didn’t… This wasn’t my fault! The heartless, they came out of nowhere and-Zidane! They all just ganged up on him, I couldn’t get to him-I…” Wolf said, his words jumbling together in uncertainty. He really was not sure why the heartless were here in the first place nor why they attacked Zidane, “Why him? Why did they…”
