Character(s): Aladdin and Genie Content: A street rat reunites with his genie! Setting: Café Ersesat in Joutenheim Time: Afternoon Warnings: Most Likely Nothing
Genie drummed his fingers impatiently against the table. He was nervous. He wasn’t sure why, it was not as though there was anything to be nervous about. Maybe nervous was the wrong word. How about anxious? Yeah, anxious worked. It had been some time since he had last heard from his old master. And every time he had here, it appeared to be nothing more than an illusion. Twice now Genie could have sworn he had seen Aladdin, once even speaking with him over the message board. But despite his efforts, the prince could never truly be found. The closest he had even gotten to finding him had only proven to be an illusion of the Heartless, a Neoshadow having taken the princes form to drop Genie’s guard. And it had worked remarkably well. Why, it had even sounded like Aladdin. Genie glanced down at his menu. What if this was another trick? Maybe he was just kidding himself, getting excited over nothing

Man, what’s taking Genie so long? He’d thought he would be here by now. Yet again, maybe Genie was at another café or something, and they missed each other. Aladdin sighed, debating whether to move from his spot or not, but decided to shrug it off. It can’t be that big of deal can it? Although right when he was about to see if maybe Genie was waiting for him somewhere else, he was grabbed instantly by the big blue himself.
Aladdin tried to talk as Genie pulled his cheek back and forth. Making his face stretch in comical shapes. Once Aladdin’s cheeks were released, he rubbed his face to make sure it was still intact and less stretched. He made a smirk at his friend, that’s just how Genie was after all. Aladdin certainly wouldn’t trade his personality for anything else, he chuckled and grinned, “Who-Whoa, Genie, it’s great to see you too! How have you been?”
He gave a small and must safer wave at Aladdin while he rubbed his face, twiddling his fingers shyly. “How have I been?” He repeated before giving a long and dramatic groan. “You would not believe what happened to me!” Lowering himself, Genie held his hands out in front of him, completely engrossed in the story he was about to tell. “There I was on 'Discovery Island', home of the Tree of Life, a fourteen-story masterpiece sculpted by more than a dozen artisans with a swirling tapestry holding over three hundred animal carvings. I had stopped prior at 'Donald's Safari Breakfast' for… Well, breakfast!” He held his hand over his heart and sighed happily. “Ah, yes, all you can eat Mickey Waffles, scrambled eggs, and honey glazed-ham.” The genie paused for a moment before correcting himself, hand held out in assurance. “Not actual Mickey waffles, of course. Definitely not.” He chuckled nervously. “Just shaped like Mickey. Donald joined me and after a heated argument over designer moccasins - which I totally won, by the way- he convinced me

Aladdin watched Genie go all out and where’s he been lately. Back to all about his unique travels. He couldn’t help but smirk and fold his arms at him. Amusing as usual, this really was the real Genie all right, especially with how expressive he was.
Though when he started getting piled with all the random stuff Genie flew out he chuckled, adjusting his Goofy hat and holding the pile of stuff, “Genie.” He shook his head, as he leaned a bit back while holding all the stuff, “You didn’t have get me all of this, really, I’m just glad to know you had fun! Plus, all that matters is that you're here, right?”
Even with the boy’s arms full, the pile of gifts he’d received towering over Aladdin’s head, Genie proceeded to reveal a number of different items and throw them his way. He continued to ramble on, every item proving to have its own story. At his name, however, he stopped. Silence falling over the genie, he held the matching set of Chip and Dale slippers in his hands close and listened compliantly to Aladdin as he spoke. The boy hadn’t much to say but his words proved to be exactly what Genie needed to hear. With a small sniffle he dropped the slippers he had been holding and drew close.
“Oh, Al.” he said softly with a chuckle. Freeing Aladdin’s arms from the mountain of souvenirs he had thrown at him, he moved them aside and placed his hands on the boy’s shoulder. He looked down at him with a smile. “I missed you, kid.”
