Of all the people, in all the worlds Sora expected to see here, Tidus had been very low on that list. Not that Sora didn't want to see Tidus again, he just didn't think this was the sort of place that Tidus should be.

Sora wasn't gonna complain, though, he hadn't seen Tidus in about two years, so he ran up to his friend, waving.

"Hey, Tidus!"

Though when he got close enough, Sora skidded to a halt. Something wasn't right here. Wasn't Tidus supposed to be shorter than him, and younger than him?

"Huh?"

Tidus stopped when he heard his name called. Though he didn't recognize the voice, he turned around, briefly hoping to see someone he would recognize. He was quickly disappointed - there was no one but a kid behind him, one he had never met before.

He wasn't surprised that the kid knew his name, though. He was probably a Blitzball fan. Maybe he had seen the Aurochs play while he was with them.

Well, if he wanted an autograph, Tidus would be happy to do it. Beat fighting fiends, that was for sure.

"Um...hey. Do I know you from somewhere?" he asked, just to be sure.

"um, Destiny Islands, remember?"

Hadn't Jecht not known what Destiny Islands was? If not, then it was unlikely that Tidus would. If he didn't, then that would explain why he didn't know him. Not that Sora want yet another friend of his, a classmate, not know who he was. Aladdin remembered him! Why couldn't anyone else?

"It's me, Sora"

Destiny...Islands? That was a new one. The only island he had ever been on - or, at least, the only one that could have a name that nice - was Besaid. Tidus scratched his head for a moment, his face twisting in confusion as he tried to remember anyone there who looked like this kid. He only drew a blank. There was no way he was a native, anyway.

"Um..."

The name didn't ring any bells, either, try as he might to think of something. He crossed his arms, mouth forming a thin line as he thought harder.

"Sorry." he said with a shrug. "Not ringing any bells. You sure you've got the right guy?"

"Postitve"

Except, Tidus... the Tidus Sora knew, would know what Destiny Islands was, even if he didn't know Sora. This was making Sora's head hurt.

Sora sighed heavily, it was becoming increasingly obvious that Sora didn't have the right guy, "Actually, now that I think about it, no, sorry, you just remind me of a friend, that's all"

...Why was he doing this again? Even though flying was a quicker way to travel, with a wide range of thermals available, Jake found this slightly uncomfortable. There was no open sky, even though the domes were very high up. The falcon mind sharing his found this uncomfortable too.

It was hard to feel too concerned, simply because flying was awesome. Not a whole lot of people seemed to look up or notice his presence as he decided to learn more about this place and see if he could perhaps locate any of these Organization people before contacting Remus. He was pushing their overdue meeting a bit more. There was a bit of guilt for that, but he had his reasons not to just go meet someone somewhere--it could be a trap. He may have been only pretending to be concerned. Can't believe everything you see on the internet.

Living in a world in which anyone, anywhere could be the enemy did that to an Earth kid like him. Settling for a little Spy Falcon mission would help him learn a bit more than what he first learned about Paixao anyway. Then ( ... )
