Bless her heart, this strange yet awfully kind woman thought that some sort of beast had attacked Remus. Of course, he had no memory of the previous night, but he had a hunch that his injuries came about because he had been the beast.

Remus took a moment to ready his throat to answer. "Water." If anything was hunting him, it would be ordinary people looking for what had happened to the large wolf that was running rampant around town. If he was found by someone else, they would probably assume that it had attacked him.

Biting her lower lip, Kida nodded. "Very well." She pulled the man's cloak around him better with the same gentle touch as a mother tucking in her child. "I will return soon."

. . .

Kida did her best to pole vault her way back, but her current weapon lacked both much of the length of her normal spear and the flex as well. Though it still improved her speed, It wasn't to the normal degree she craved. To her frustration she was turned away from the shop initially, forcing her to throw a dress-code-appropriate dress over her explorer clothes before buying three canteens. Kida didn't care that she then left the dress on the floor of her home, and probably didn't notice that the faucet was still dripping when she left. The woman had other things on her mind.

It was indeed a few hours before she returned. The canteens weighed her down, and she arrived breathing deeply. She got to her knees by the man's side, undoing the lid to a canteen.

Wolf panicked as he searched through Paixao. Trying his best to sniff out for Remus. He just hopes that the boy is all right wherever he is. Wolf kept grumbling and blaming himself for the full moon incident. While Wolf doesn’t remember what all that happened, he knew that he did hurt Remus while he was in full out wolf form. It was just that he couldn’t control his animal instincts for domination and territory. Though he didn’t really want to do that to Remus. Wolf knew they got along fine as humans at least ( ... )

Remus let the strange woman give him water. It was amazing how wonderful the stuff tasted when your body was in great need of it. It was also a nice bonus to have the water slowly wash away the sickening taste of blood from his mouth. He took small sips at a time, knowing that he'd make himself worse off if he chugged it down.

And then Wolf burst through the door. If Remus had been capable, he would have jumped at the sudden intrusion. But in this state, an explosion could have gone off and had little to no effect on his mind. It was too focused on staying conscious and alive.

He stopped sipping water and looked up at Wolf. "I don't know." He knew Wolf had a similar problem to his during a full moon, and if Wolf had indeed caused the injuries, he held no negative feelings for him. It didn't matter if they had gotten into a fight, or who started the fight. The only thing that was important was that they failed to kill each other.

Though the youth she was helping may not have reacted to the intrusion, Kida did. Since her spear was a few feet away, Kida drew her knife immediately, slopping water on Remus's front. But with the lack of concern over each other's presence and concern more over the health and past actions of each other, Kida slowly returned her knife and offered Remus more water.

Kida looked over her shoulder at the newcomer. "What has happened here?" she inquired, her voice deep and grave.
