Jecht, as always, was feeling rather confident about the entire situation. With the re-appearance of Auron, it almost felt as though -- some dark cloud around him had been lifted. After having spent so much time with the two of them, he had somehow learned the value of friendship -- something that hadn't really crossed his path in Zanarkand. Sure, you had team mates, but once the season was over... how many of them could you really count on? Those two had somehow managed to show him a different side of life, values he would hold onto now until, well, the end.

Maybe that was why Meg intrigued him. All right, well that body certainly helped out too, he couldn't deny that, but -- something about her...

Rounding the corner, he approached the door to Seventh Heaven, the grin he had been sporting now a mile wide. "Didn't keep you waiting long, did I?" He stopped in front of her, leaning back on his heel -- arms crossed over his always-bare chest.

Meg turned around at the voice, facing the full blast of Jecht's grin. Without even thinking, she was smiling back, though her own was much more subdued. "I wasn't waiting," she replied, eyebrow arched. "I was just closing up." She took a few steps toward him, taking stock of his appearance fully for the first time. He wasn't a young man, that was certain, and his scars, style of dress and shaggy hair probably wouldn't appeal to every woman...but her attraction to him was undeniable. She bit back a sigh. Get a grip, girl!

"So what's the plan?" she asked, disguising her own inner struggle with a smirk, arms crossed.

"Dinner's over-rated," he announced, with a wave of his hand. "I figured we could do -- somethin' a little different..." he added a chuckle onto that and turned around. "C'mon."

As he walked, Jecht kept a tight-knit smile on his face. Having a pretty girl in your company could do that to you, he figured. He'd been with his share of women -- being a sports legend had it's burdens after all. But after a while, all the bubble-headed attention had lost its charm. He seemed to have lucked out, meeting the missus, and actually -- enjoyed having settled down.

"So... how's the runnin' of that place goin'? Seventh Heaven y'call it?" Small talk was always good on a date. Because, he was sure, that's what it was.

Meg chuckled dryly, falling into step next to him. "That's what the former owner called it. There's a lot I'd call it, but heaven really isn't one of them. Between getting creeps for customers, kitchen mishaps, a wild dog eating all my food and the natives suddenly turning chilly, it's been a headache that won't quit." Despite her complaints, there was a note of pride in her voice, some affection for the establishment. "But I think I'm getting the hang of it."

She glanced sidelong up at Jecht. "I heard your friend returned. Auron, right? Not a man of many words."

"Sheesh," he scratched the back of his head. "Sound like you got your hands full. But! I mean, I guess if it keeps you busy..." because, to put it simply, being bored was not Jecht's idea of having a good time. "But if some'a those customers are gettin' a little too creepy for ya... don't be afraid to deck 'em one, all right?" He added with a sly look. She did look like a girl who could handle herself, he had to admit.

"Yeah! He came back all right. Never, uh, thought I'd be glad to have someone stuck back here..." And she was entirely right. Jecht had yet to meet someone as tight-lipped as Auron, but... "Well, rightfully so," he added with a nod, "I'm the one with the great personality, after all."
