Scoffing in disbelief, Meg jutted her hip to the side and raised her other eyebrow imperiously. So she went from one annoying, commanding creep with fire on his head to another? Wonderful. "Well, when you ask me like that, how could I not help you?" She let her hard gaze travel the length of him then turned, walking away with her hips swaying.

There was just no way she was going to get caught up in this sort of mess again.

Zetta crossed his arms and scowled at the woman. What the hell was this? Did this girl really care so little about her life? "You know, I could really do without the sarcasm. Look, I don't give a crap about anything or anyone in this freakin' place. I just want to find a way out of here. The sooner you cough up the info, the sooner I'm out of here and the sooner you get left alone. Got it?"

"You're talking to the most badass freakin' Overlord in the cosmos. I'm pretty sure I could find a way to get you to talk."

"You can't be that amazing if you can't get out of here," Meg called over her shoulder, one hand on her hip. She was playing a dangerous game and she knew it, but she was tired of being bossed around by guys like him. Her pride rankled at his tone and the more he talked, the shorter her temper became.

She turned to face him completely, a sardonic smile curving her lips. "No wonder you don't know anything. You always go around threatening people you want help from? Here's news for you, Red. There isn't a way out. Not for people like us."

"Who the hell do you think you are, talking to me like that?!" Zetta practically snarled. "I could crush you like a grape if I wanted to! And I sure as hell can find a way out!" He just needed to find some clues as to what he needed to do or who he needed to pound to do it. It wasn't that he wasn't strong enough. Who the hell was she to even hint that that was the case?!

She took a step back at his rage, eyes widening, but then she was right back in the lion's mouth, scowling into his burning eyes. "Great strategy, genius!" she snapped back. "Crush everyone and be stuck here on your own!" She took a moment to collect herself, brushing a curling tendril of her hair out of her face. It wouldn't pay to get into a screaming match with this idiot.

"Clean the fire out of your ears and listen to me. There isn't a way out," she enunciated carefully, as if speaking to a small child. "You think we're all just here on vacation?"
