A low growl came from within the apartment. Beast didn't often have company, and "housekeeping" was the last thing he expected anyone to say before requesting entry. He stood from his place, and hid the rose as best he could, at least from sight of the door. It was still glowing, but at least the reliquary wouldn't be visible to someone outside.

"Who is it?" he shouted through the door, letting menace turn his voice into another half-growl.

Now that had been a surprise. The voice behind the door proved that was most definitely not something but rather someone in the suite. The genie raised both his brows with interest and leaned against the door to listen in. There was definitely an animal in there, a very angry one by the sound of all the growling he could hear. He pulled away from the door thoughtfully. It was not uncommon for animals to have the ability of speech in Paixao but those he knew of could not possibly produce such a growl like this one. Frogs did not growl and meerkats, even one as loud as Timon, could not growl that loudly. Although, there was that one lion he had spoken with earlier…

He knocked gently on the door once again. “Housekeeping?” Genie repeated in the same singsong voice. “I clean?”

Beast gave a long, drawn out sigh, his chest rumbling with it. Slowly, hesitantly, he opened the door, every bit of him tense and nervous. He didn't bother to look at this person who was about to come in, nor did he care to give them much of a view of his face. It only vaguely occurred to him that this had never happened before.

"You will not touch the rose, under any circumstance!" he growled, making it clear he was referring to the glowing glass case behind a pile of splintered wood and torn fabric and cushioning that may once have resembled something of a sofa.

Well that was certainly unexpected. Genie had predicted far more of a struggle upon receiving entry of the apartment. However, it seemed as though three words had been all that it required. He stood and blinked at the open door, confusion clearly written across his features, before he decided to enter. The genie had promised the stranger he’d clean and he intended to keep that promise, especially after he saw the wreck which they called home. The place was a complete mess ( ... )

"I'm no rat...I'm a monster," Beast said quietly as the work began. He still didn't face this intruder, preferring to simply have the cleaning done so it would be over, with minimal interaction. So he faced the rose, only moving when the servant seemed to require him to.

He reared back a little at the sudden light when the curtains were drawn, accompanied by a very brief and mostly contained roar. He turned his head further away when the servant spoke.

"Leave me." He spoke slowly, but with an air of command, as if ordering a servant in his castle. His voice echoed some of his shame.
