Yorda had mostly been wandering about, enjoying the (relative) peace of the city. She hadn't really kept in touch with anyone, but she hadn't realized that anyone would worry about her and so she simply didn't think of trying to contact anyone. As a matter of face, she still didn't know that she had upset anyone, and so when the girl spotted Neirenn stepping off the train, she walked up to her, smiling brightly. "Hello."

"Yorda!" Neirenn stared for a moment at the pale girl. It seemed like forever since she'd seen her--how long had it been? A few weeks? A month? After returning home for that brief time, Neirenn really had no idea what was going on in Paixao. For all she knew, this could be the same day that she'd left.

But she looked as though she was unhurt, and she was smiling (and didn't look like she was faking it)... so that was probably a good thing. "I know I shouldn't be the one asking this, but where in the world did you go?"

Yorda blinked at the mage; it seemed as though she hadn't been expecting to see Yorda. How long had it been? Yorda was only ever aware of the passing of day and night; this is how it had always been and Yorda saw no reason to change it (time meant nothing to her, and perhaps it never would). The princess tilted her head at Neirenn's query, not quite understanding her concern. "I do not know where I went," she replied serenely. "I was inside the city, and I wished to learn more of it." A few moments, pausing to think and gather her words, then, "I have seen no shadows."

It wasn't what Neirenn had asked, but it was what Yorda had on her mind.

Neirenn might have stared in disbelief at Yorda's answer, but the truth was... she really couldn't feel surprised at how simply the girl felt about it. "If you're going to be exploring for more than a few days, you ought to let people know," she said. "All sorts of things might happen in this city--we don't want to get worried."

But Neirenn didn't suppose she could really be mad at the girl after vanishing from Paixao completely herself. And she was just very... simple. Not stupid, but growing up as a princess in an island castle probably hadn't instilled her with what most people would consider common social sense. "I'm glad the city isn't dark again, at least. Did you find anything interesting?"

Yorda blinked. It had never occurred to her that she had worried someone. "I am sorry," she replied, lowering her eyes, ashamed. "I did not realize anyone would worry about me." She made a mental note to not do that again; next time she went out, she would tell someone. The princess looked back up at Neirenn after a few moments. "Where did you go?" She hadn't seen Neirenn in awhile; perhaps she had vanished, just like Ico - but she had come back. A few moments of thought, pondering Neirenn's question, and then, "There are many interesting things here."

It was one of the many things she liked about this city.
