"That's right," she replied, entering the establishment entirely. The door closing behind her, Meg gave the place a cursory look -- it wasn't a bad looking place at all. Simple, nothing fancy, but it wasn't some sort of dive either. "I guess that makes you Tifa then?"
She brought her gaze down from the walls to the woman in question, blinking once at the surprising beauty of her. What was a woman like this doing in a bar? Well, it didn't matter. Actually, this worked out for the best: with someone as pretty as Tifa in the room, the usual creeps who would hit on Megara would undoubtedly be drawn to the busty brunette instead.
Meg's smiled widened as she saw the food Tifa had prepared. Wordlessly, she walked quickly to the plate and sat down in front of it eagerly. She had no idea what it was but it smelled delicious. Rice, obviously...spiced in an odd way that wasn't at all unappealing. "Don't worry about it," she said absently, picking up a fork and digging in with barely the feminine grace she usually displayed. At least she waited until she swallowed to speak again. "Most people come into places like this for the food and drink and couldn't care less about what it looks like."
After a few more bites, she paused, fork frozen over the plate. She glanced at Tifa sheepishly. "Uh, this is really good. Thanks."
As Tifa turned away to gaze out the window, Meg lifted her eyes from her plate and watched the other woman thoughtfully for a moment. Eating at a more sedate pace now, she looked down again. "So you're not interested in getting home?" She took another bite, glancing at Tifa again curiously. It seemed to her most people here were desperate to find a way out, not carve a niche for themselves and build a business.
Wow, talk about over-sharing. Meg had stopped eating entirely, watching Tifa talk with a blank expression on her face. Was she always this trusting with her personal business? That would end up hurting her if she wasn't careful. By the time Tifa turned back to Meg, she shrugged a bit and gave her a small, bemused smile.
"Hey, don't worry about it," she replied casually, leaning back in the chair and crossing her legs. "I mean, I didn't get a single thing you said after 'I can't find them,' but I don't need to understand." She tilted her head, the cool violet of her eyes no warmer despite the smile. "You might want to try calling them out specifically over the message board, though. Men can be pretty stupid."
"It's a hard skill set but I think I'll be able to manage," Meg responded dryly, smiling a bit to let the other woman know she was kidding. "It's weird, though...with everyone coming in from different worlds, you'd think we wouldn't be able to understand each other. And yet..." She trailed off, shrugging her shoulders.
"Is there anything else I should know? What sort of customer are you looking to bring in?" Meg stood up from the table and began walking slowly around the room, occasionally touching something. She glanced at Tifa, one eyebrow arched. "What'll you do if some creep who can't get his pea-sized brain to understand what 'no' means comes crashing?"

Meg smiled slightly.
