The Graceful Assassin's head shot up at the sudden noise and he scowled at the familiar silhouette in the doorway. So... they had finally managed to find him, had they? No matter. He would defeat the Superior's lapdog and make his escape. They still had so far to go, after all.

In one swift motion, Marluxia grabbed a stack of nearby papers, storing them away and summoning his scythe. The Nobody fell back into a defensive position, eying Saix cautiously. "Closed quarters don't suit either of us."

Saïx didn't miss the motion as Marluxia grabbed the papers and tucked them away. He'd need to inform Xemnas of that as well. It wouldn't do to defeat the man here only to have someone else stumble across the findings. The decision, however, would need to wait. There was little time to worry now, as he summoned his claymore to hand.

"What are you trying to hide?"

He know he wouldn't get an answer.

A smirk was the only reply Saix would receive before Marluxia charged forward, disappearing at the last second in a shower of petals and reappearing behind him, scythe raised. He had what he needed. Everything else could be obtained once more at a later time.

"A secret I intend to keep," he said simply, and brought his weapon down.

If Marluxia had intended his feint to have any effect, he'd have to think again. It might have fooled some, but Saïx was not one of them; he was turning even as Murluxia vanished, raising his claymore to meet the inevitable blow.

"A secret is only as good as its keeper," he answered, equally simply and not sounding in the least bit bothered by the effort of keeping the blade of the cythe at bay.

Marluxia pressed further, his smug expression fading into a frown as he concentrated on the task at hand. He jumped backwards as he realized the Luna Diviner's claymore wasn't about to budge anytime soon, flourishing his scythe as he landed. Offering his opponent a dismissive "Hmph," Marluxia brought his scythe, crackling with energy, down in an arc, sending a crescent wave toward Saix.
