Tanaka spent some amount of time near the gates, with the very idea that there would be people pulled in with a need for information. But, as of yet, the cheerleader hadn't really met anyone besides the thralls of blonde inhabitants.
But it was this visit around that his eye was caught; another blonde arrival, sure, but clearly not one of the flat spirits of the average person in this city. She was riled with an acute frustration. No doubt there.
The surprise of finally having met someone only flickered over his face an instant, before resolving into his set determination, and he made his way to her with quick, confident strides. "Sister," Tanaka called as he drew nearer. "I'm afraid you've been pulled into an awkward situation."

That was when she caught sight of the black-clothed man heading towards her. Oh. That guy. He didn't stick out or anything. Way to be distracted, Rosette.
"You're telling me," she replied flatly. "I never thought I'd see this little corner of hell again." Overall - mostly because of the Organization - she couldn't say she'd enjoyed her previous time in the city. She sighed, shoving her hands into the pockets of her bomber jacket, nevermind that it wasn't really cold outside. "Have I missed anything these past couple of weeks?" She had no idea if this guy had been here that long, or if time in Paixao passed the same as it did back home, but it was still worth asking.

What an irksome place.
Tanaka halted as he neared her. "The... oh. In the last few weeks, let's see..." He frowned, and thought it over. "Well, were you here when the darkness came? A spell of sorts, rather like a dark fog, made getting around bothersome. Flood of the little dark ones, the Heartless... but a phoenix chased it off. I think it was a phoenix, at least. A very bright bird."
The cheerleader frowned at his own explanation. It left a lot to be desired. He hadn't really been prepared to provide that sort of information.

As far as explanations went, it wasn't exactly the greatest either. But then again Squall wasn't great at explanations when he'd been in the conversation since the beginning. But with what had already been mentioned perhaps it would be enough to start piecing things together.
Maybe. If you were lucky.

"Are those black-cloaked bastards still causing trouble?" was her next question. She meant the Organization, of course, and she had good reason to be concerned about them. Of course, the split second the words were out of her mouth, she realized one of the guys she was talking with was wearing a long black coat. Oops.
